Mark WILLS Obituary

It is with profound sadness and gratitude for his life, that we share the passing of Mark Lewis Wills on December 9, 2020, in his 67th year. After a hard fought battle with cancer, he passed in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Left to remember his tenacity for life and love for friends and family is his loving wife Donna of 45 years, their children Leah (Rhys) and Lauren (Tom), and his much adored grandson, "his boy", Felix. Mark was predeceased by his beloved grandmother Eva Kennedy, his parents Jack and June Wills, and his brother, John. He is survived by his sister Pat (Kirk) and sister-in-law Bev. Mark will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mark built his company starting in 1983 and was supported by his business partner Tony. Geoware will be carried forward by a wonderful team of colleagues, whom he highly respected. The Wills family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of their family and friends who have supported them endlessly during this time. As recently as last week, Mark was determined to find a way to support research for pancreatic cancer. To honour his goal, we ask that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to his memorial page for pancreatic cancer research. donate.pancreaticcancercanada.ca/goto/markwills In an effort to support Mark's wishes to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols, there will not be a service at this time. We will gather in the future to celebrate his beautiful life.

My deepest condolences to Mark’s family and coworkers at Geoware. The Region of Peel has been a Geoware client for over 25 years, which is a testament to Mark’s success in business. I have known and worked with Mark for over 13 years. He has always been a pleasure to work with and will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to Wills family at this difficult time.
While working with Mark on behalf of the Region of Waterloo, my greatest memory of Mark was the excitement on his face and the passion resonating in his voice on the latest advancement of the Geoware system.
It was truly a pleasure to know Mark.

Condolences to his family. We (The City of Edmonton) were clients of Mark’s Geoware business for 30 years. During that time, the two words I would use to describe Mark are trustworthy and respected.

Our deepest condolences go out to Donna, Leah and Lauren. Mark was a kind and generous man who always had time to listen and help those around him. His passing during this Christmas season brings back some of our fondest memories of Mark. At the Geoware Christmas parties which he and Donna graciously hosted, Mark embodied the excitement and joy of the season.
