Michael Paulini Obituary
January 2, 1926 - February 2, 2023
In loving memory of Michael Paulini who passed away surrounded by family at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
Loving husband of the late Katharina (2016). Dear father of the late Ingrid (1988) and grandfather to Ingrid's daughter, Krystal (2022). Michael will be deeply missed by his daughter, Heidi (Luis, 2010) his beloved "enkteltochters", Kelsey and Kolina (fiancée Erik).
Michael was born in Draas, Transylvania. He was the oldest child of seven children Anna (2007), John (Katie), Andreas (1983) (Renate), Sara (Henri-1997) Matthew (Nancy), and baby sister Greta (Erwin). He immigrated to Canada in 1946 and proudly boasted that he was the first member of his community to own a 1926 Chevrolet. Michael was a proud founding member of the Transylvania Club Kitchener and the former Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He worked tirelessly his whole life to provide for his family.
Our sincerest gratitude to the nurses at Freeport Hospital Transitional & Palliative Care, as well as Dr. Ler. Thank you all for treating Michael with kindness and dignity.
Visitation will be held at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday February 9, 2023 from 1 - 3 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Bernhard Ebert officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. At the family's request face coverings are to be worn for the visitation, service, and while not eating and drinking at the reception. Interment will immediately follow the reception at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
