Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Nithview Community in New Hamburg at the age of 101.
Beloved wife of the late Abner (2012) for 68 years. Pre-deceased by daughter Margaret Alexander (1988). Norma will be missed by her children Janet Walker, Roger (Ana) Shantz, Rodney (Kathryn) Shantz, and Karen (John) Detzler; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by son-in-law Carl Alexander. Also pre-deceased by her son-in-law Floyd Walker (2011).
In her early years she enjoyed her garden and flower beds. She was an excellent cook and baker, and everyone enjoyed the fresh coffee cake she made. She enjoyed her retirement years traveling, boating, and fishing with Abner.
A private family service for Norma will be held in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Interment at Shantz Mennonite Cemetery.
