Patricia HANNENBERG Obituary
March 7, 1933 - April 7, 2023
Passed away at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. Patricia (Pat) attended St. Mary's Highschool and graduated as a Registered Nurse from the St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School. She worked as an R.N. with the Waterloo Region Separate School Board and St. Mary's Hospital for many years before her retirement. Pat was a longtime member of Westmount Golf and Country Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Waterloo. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack (2020), her parents Alexander and Theresa (nee McEvoy) Mackay, her brothers Gordon and Bryan, her nephews Hugh and Ian, and her niece Meg. She is survived by her dear sister-in-law Catherine Mackay, nephews and nieces James, Gordon, Keith, Robert, Andrew, Mary, Heather, Alexander, Elizabeth, Roderick and David Mackay, Susanne Feick and Cindy Buchner, and her cousin Peggy Rann and their spouses and families.
Pat's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 173 Lourdes Street, Waterloo. Reception to follow in the church hall. Private family interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation, or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
