Paul OGRAM Obituary

1942-2023

On Friday, January 20, 2023, Paul Mills Ogram, loving husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away at age 80. A deeply faithful man who made a tremendously brave journey with IPF Lung Disease, Paul felt deep peace in life and in death. He is deeply missed by his wife Robbie; children David (Jennifer), Jeremy (Taylor), Leslie (Ryan), Paul (Dory); sister Eva (Marv); grandchildren Niamh and Eoghan, Reese and Kendell, Logan and Anya; and many friends. Paul was predeceased by his first wife Stephanie. Always puttering and never able to sit, Paul tirelessly looked for things to fix and did so with a tremendous patience and skill. Persistent, if he didn't know how to do something he took the time to learn and committed it to memory. Paul looked for ways he could help others and did so with grace and humility. He was reliable and dependable and was always there for family and friends alike. Paul was a vital part of the new build of Knox Presbyterian Church in Waterloo (Construction Watch-dog) and experienced a deep sense of connection with that faith community. Throughout his working years he worked on a number of farms, at J.D. Ogram Plumbing and Heating, the Bank of Nova Scotia, Dare Foods, Power Vac, Conestoga Cold Storage, Systems Plus, and created his own Handy Man business. Paul was and always will be loved by so many. Visitation and celebrating Paul's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb St. W., Waterloo on Saturday, January 28, 2023, beginning at 1 p.m. with an hour of visiting prior. A livestream of the service will be available on the funeral home website. Cremation will take place privately following the service. Condolences to the family and donations in memory of Paul to Knox Presbyterian Church Waterloo, The Canadian Lung Association or the Rotary Hospice of Stratford Perth can be arranged at www.erbgood.com.

Paul was my brother in law for 20 years. I knew him to be a very kind, gentle and generous man. He was very good to me over the years. We had lots of chats together. Paul was one of the most interesting and knowledgeable people I have ever met. He could fix anything and had an enormous amount of energy when he wanted to get projects done. Paul never complained even when he became extremely ill. He loved Robbie very much and I am very happy she was able to nurse him at home as long as she could. I will miss you Paul.
