Shoonkie, my great aunt, was a loving, kind and giving person. I loved going to her house to visit as child to play on her 70s furniture that she kept in pristine condition, eat all the good food and pick sour grapes from the backyard. Thankful my children had the opportunity to meet her, and for all the memories created with her.

Aunty Pearl was kind and loving to everyone-always looking out for others. As my brother Neville mentioned "she was a great lady-who got along with everyone." When our mom Gertrude died, she came to Jamaica, from Canada, to stay with us for a long time. We loved her dearly.Yes we are grieving, but it´s only a matter of time until we see her on a Paradise earth as Jehovah promised. Revelation 21:4. 2 Peter 3:13 From her niece Moffet

We fondly remember how Aunt Pearl (Shoonkie) would let us sip her beer when we were kids and then laugh when we made a "sourface". Only later on did we realize how she stepped up in the face of tragedy and truly became a mother to all. We miss her dearly and look forward to seeing her along with Aunt Beryl and Grandma under a new heavenly government on a paradise earth.

Shoonkie, you left us so suddenly, but with many great memories of homemade Jamaican patties, elaborate family meals and with a 'home' we could always return to. Thank you for your many gifts and the lessons along the way. I look forward to seeing you restored to 'youthful vigor' once again! (John 5:28,29) Luv Mystic

All my love and deepest condolences to the family. I didnt know aunty Pearl quite well, but I visited her a few times with Mamma Walsh. Pearl was very hospitable and nice to me, a vevy strong, loving and determined woman.I know for a fact that aunty Pearl is going to be thrilled when she comes back in the resurrection. Jesus Christ, Jehovah's beloved son died for all mankind, and that includes aunty Pearl. She is going to be grateful to Jehovah that he gave her the gift of life in the new system soon to come. OOt of love and deep appreciation she is going to be moved to learn about our wonderful, merciful and loving creator. She's going be thrilled and moved to serve Jehovah right into eternity. The bible is God's word to mankind. In the Bible Jehovah gives hope for the future, hope for the dead through Jesus' ransom sacrifice so that humans can have hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth.

Mom, you are gone too soon, and yet time continues to wait for no one. You were one-of-a-kind and you will be dearly missed. So many things left unsaid and I still can´t believe you´re not here. I visited you those last 5 days and the very next morning, you were gone. I selfishly say, thank you for waiting for me. And what a blessing having you as my mom. You exuded love, always had patience and showed understanding. The saying is true: "We are never prepared for what we expect." I am devastated. Rest peacefully. I love you.
