I spent a year in 1971 volunteering with Peter at lakeside school spring valley, New York under Mennonite central committee. I heard about his accident years later and wish I could have attended his memorial service.
We stayed in contact and he visited us in Salem Oregon in about 1995. We became good friends and even made a cross country trip while working together. I had no clue Peter had the impact on his community I´m reading about.
I could say a lot more as he was an outstanding individual.

I wish his family the best and sorry I didn´t send this years ago. Really hit me hard and I send my condolences.
