SCHMIDT, Ralph Peter Of Millbank, Ontario, called into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on December 1, 2017, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Kathryn (nee Steckly) for 49 cherished years. Loving father of Peter and wife Tabitha of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Janette and husband Steven Gerber of Brunner, Timothy and wife Elizabeth of Poole, Christine and husband Conrad Jantzi of Wellesley, and James and wife Joanne of Millbank. Precious grandfather of Sheldon, Shane, Durrell, Erinna, Jewel, Raquel, Trevor, Renae, Janelle, Tyler, Natalie, Landon, Amber, Joel, Marcus, Nathan and Kyle. Dear brother of Anna Mae (Ivan Kuepfer), Reta Steckly, Ronald (Elizabeth), Lloyd (Sharon), Sharon (Joe Gerber), and David (Norma), and brother-in-law of Anna Mae (Floyd Steinman), Ken Steckly, and Linda (Vernon Jantzi). Predeceased by granddaughter Evie Schmidt and parents Lorne and Maryann (nee Spenler) and parents-in-law Ezra and Catherine Steckly. Ralph was a faithful member of the Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church. We wish to express our gratitude to Dr. Sanatani and Julie at the London Regional Cancer Clinic and the palliative care team of Lynn, Joanne, Linda and Anna.
