Raymond P. GINGERICH

Raymond P. Gingerich June 20, 1925 - June 22, 2018 Born and raised and lived in Baden, later moved to Tavistock then to New Hamburg at Nithview. Ray took over his father's business at Baden Cheese where he was very successful and admired by his employees and other cheese makers right across the province. Son of Peter O and Barbara (Gascho) Gingerich. Predeceased by his first wife ""Sweety"" Myra (Thorne). Survived by his wife Betty (Roth). Also survived by his brother Richard and sisters Leona Steinman and Elaine Cressman. Predeceased by brothers Ken and Willard and sisters Ruby Hammer and Miriam Oesch as well as by two grandchildren. Loving father of Peter and wife Janice of Stratford, Robert of Harpurhey and Mike and wife Dianne of Tavistock, stepchildren Susan and husband Don Rompf of Ilderton and Randy and wife Ann Roth of Oakville. Also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, five step- grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Ray was a very active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Baden. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, photography and golfing. Visitation will be at Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg, tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 1-3 and again from 6-9. Service at St. James Lutheran Church, 66 Mill St. Baden Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm followed by interment at Fairmont Cemetery.
