Real CHABOT Obituary
CHABOT, Real Joseph Adrien Our Dad slipped into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 4th in his 84th year. His life was woven together by many events beginning as a young boy in Quebec, until his final days in Cambridge, Ontario. Real's devotion to his wife Mary, of 61 years, was evident as he continually called out to hold her hand right up to the final moments. As a caring father, he quietly showed his support to his children. His dry sense of humour and quick wit made people around him laugh out loud. Summer months were filled with time spent at the horseshoe pits and tending his garden, especially the tomato plants; while the winter months allowed for card playing with his family and snowmobiling. His children Bob (Shelly), Mike (Jackie), Steve (Clare), and Diane (Glynden Cross) received his gift of learning through listening and the ability to be present. Real's grandchildren, Jacob, Christina, Lindsey (Alex Segler), Reid, Jennifer (David De Guzman), Mirranda and Cameron were able to bring out the youthful side of dad with silly antics and funny faces. His two great-grandchildren Marisa and Maverick will have the honour of continuing this legacy. He will be dearly missed by his caring brothers and sisters who gave so freely of their time and gifts. Thank you: Gisele, Marcel (Brian), Claude, Roger (Sandy), Jocelyne, Denise (Roger), Carol (Ken), Daniel (Nancy), and Richard (Mary). Dad is predeceased by his two beautiful children David and MaryAnne, his siblings Yvon (Louise), John, Huguette, and Andre (Linda) and parents Rosaire and Prezilda Chabot. A special thank you to all the staff at St. Andrews Terrace, you are wonderful. ""Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God. "" Psalm 31:5.
