Richard GERTH Obituary
GERTH, Richard Donald Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the age of 69. Doing what he loved best, working on his boat in the beautiful sunshine of Florida. Survived by his father William Gerth. Predeceased by mother Shirley (nee Delion) Gerth. Greatly missed by wife Ann Marie (nee Young) Gerth of 30 years and sons Daniel and Brock. Mourned by daughters Cherie Krampien and Jennifer Dosman. Loving grandfather to Matthew (deceased) Jolanta and Olivia Krampien and Joshua and Kaitlyn Dosman. Dear brother to Douglas Gerth and sister Debra Gerth. Born in Kitchener, Ontario on October 26, 1949, Richard's true passions in life were trucks and performance boats. After owning and operating a transportation company, Gerth Transport, for over 20 years Rick semi-retired. He went on to assist his daughter Cherie in another transport company, Keypoint Carriers. 16 years thereafter he fully retired and enjoyed his ""need for speed"" with his OuterLimits boat and raced in many poker runs in the beautiful state of Florida and in Ontario. Richard touched the lives of family and friends with his generous loving nature. A pillar in his family, a loss that will leave us truly heartbroken. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Trillium Lutheran Church (formally St. John's Church), 22 Willow St, in Waterloo, Ontario on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Fellowship and refreshments to follow.

We were good friends many, many years ago, I remember Richard and his wife Anne well, my late husband Maurice and I enjoyed their visit to our farm one weekend in Mount Forest thirty years ago. Just came across this obituary and was saddened to read of Richard’s passing. My deepest condolences to Anne and the family.
