KRIEG, ROBERT EDWARD (Bob) died on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Ottawa after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his sister Sandra-Diane Wey of Kitchener, his beloved daughter Anna (Mark Chodos) and his grandchildren Jacob, Ezra and Eva. He was predeceased by his wife, Holly Glendenning. Robert was born on February 3, 1942 in Kitchener, the son of Edna Weber and Wilfried Krieg. He completed high school at St. Jerome's and then attended St. Eugene's College and St. Jerome's University in Waterloo. He graduated in 1966 with a B.A. from the University of Waterloo. He then attended Western University where he earned a PhD in English before enrolling in the Toronto Library School. Robert worked as Director of the Southeast Regional Library system in Weyburn, Saskatchewan and later as the Director of Libraries, Museums and Cultural Services for Lambton County. In retirement, Robert played bridge, attended book club and cheered on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chelsea FC. When Holly became ill, they and their cat (Julius) moved to a retirement home in Ottawa. His ashes will be interred in Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario beside Holly. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the
