Robert STRICKLER Obituary

STRICKLER, Robert (Bob) Gordon 1932-2018 Passed away at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Thursday, November 29, 2018. Son of the late David and Viola Strickler (Yantz). Married to Connie the love of his life for 55 years who predeceased him in 2009. Loving Father of Brett predeceased in 1998, Kimberly predeceased in infancy, Rob and Karin, Rose Marie and Rob Dale, Neil and Susan and daughter-in-law Brenda Pryce (Roger). Proud grandfather of Nicole (Daryl), Ryan (Ashlea), Zach and Reed, Robert, Jacob, Aaron and Lily. He will be sadly missed by his brother Danny Strickler (Diane) and Marlene Strickler as well as Rita Spilowey and Rhoda Boland. Adored by great-grandchildren Avery, Bryce, Lucy and Rhys. Predeceased by his sister Doris Beinschroth (Nick) and brothers Earl and Ron Strickler. Bob was a 40 year employee of Seagrams Distilleries in Waterloo and loved horseshoes, bowling and his time with his friends at his trailer in Meaford. Bob was a longtime member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bob with his family during visitation at Erb and Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo N2J 1J3 on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
