1942 - 2022
Robert (Bob) Wynne will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Bob passed peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre on December 29 with his family to support him in this final journey. He is survived by Barbara Leask (his wife of 51 years), children David (Jodie) and Karen, and his wonderful grandchildren Ryan, Henry, Daphne, Anders and Sonia, his brothers John and Joe (Sandy), stepsisters Gloria (Len) and Caroline (Ed) and extended family around the world. Bob was predeceased by his son-in-law Rob Bulson. Raised in the Sarnia and Petrolia area, Bob was active in Boy Scouts, school sports, and worked summers on his uncles' farms near Forest ON. After high school Bob went to and graduated from Western University with a degree in Economics. He then moved to Waterloo to work at Mutual Life, where he remained for the entirety of his career. His work there taught him about finance, stocks, and financial security - a skill he loved to share with colleagues, friends, and family. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 37, Bob was determined to keep moving forward. As an adult, he jogged, skied, sailed his small sailboat, and enjoyed his cottages at Miller Lake and Leith. As his MS progressed, he learned how to play bridge, investigate his family's ancestry, and entertain his children and grandchildren with witty stories of his youth. He was a faithful fan of the Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors, and Kitchener Rangers. Bob was a friend to all that he met, whether an old friend or a stranger in passing. He had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed the company of long-time friends and extended family. The Wynne family would like to thank Dr. Mary Jackson for her years of care, his many medical practitioners, and most recently the staff at Trinity Village for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Trinity Village.
