Passed away peacefully on March 3, 2023, at Grand River Hospital, with his girls by his side. He was born in Montreal on October 23, 1943, to Bill and Anna May and was the second of five children. At the age of 19 he met Connie, his "beautiful bride" & "one and only" of 50+ years with whom he is now reunited. Proud father of Sharon (dec.2020), Rod Jr, Sandi (Stephen), Allie (Trevor Willis) and cherished grandfather to Veronica-Dawn. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Susan, brother Bernie (Judy) as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Rod is pre-deceased by his parents, sisters Veronica & Cathy (Matt) and brother-in-law Terry. He loved spending time with his family, both two and four legged and so enjoyed listening to music, sketching, and reading. His passion for woodworking and renovating his homes was unparalleled. Bud will be forever remembered for his strength of character and his genuine smile. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Beneroia and the staff at GRH for their exceptional care & compassion. Visitation at Lounsbury Funeral Home 1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON on Sunday March 12, 2023, at 1:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Grand River Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Interment to follow at a later date.
