Roelof Hoftyzer Obituary
of Drayton passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in his 88th year.
Beloved husband of Elly (Rhebergen) Hoftyzer for 62 years. Cherished father of Rita and Ed Koster of Floradale, Linda and John Drost of Listowel, Anne and John Stevens of Elora, the late Gerard (2010) and Bernice (2017) Hoftyzer, Cheryl and Tim Mulder of Listowel and Yvonne and Jeff Van Soest of Hensall. Lovingly remembered by his 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, the Rhebergen sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church, 88 Main Street East, on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. Masks are mandatory to be in attendance and social distancing must be respected.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Drayton Community Christian School would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Homes.
