Ross EDWARDS Obituary

Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Lois Edwards (nee Hamilton). Loving father of Mike Edwards (Rosie) and Wendy MacKenzie (Murray). Dear grandfather of Scott and Ryan. Ross is missed by his little dog Toby. Ross had a love for world travel with his wife Lois. For 23 years he was a volunteer with Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village and was recently recognized for his 6000 hours of service. He worked at National Standard for over 25 years and greatly enjoyed his hobby of trains and model railroading. Together with his wife Lois, he enjoyed time at their seasonal trailer at Country Gardens Campground for over 40 years. Ross's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30-3:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Ross was an incredible friend and volunteer. I had the pleasure of working with Ross for over 15 years. We met on the first day of his retirement. He loved volunteering at the museum in the Harness Shop, at the Train Starion, as Father Christmas, President of the Friends, and greeter. Over the years, he made countless friends with the staff, volunteers, and visitors. He will be missed.

Ross and Lois were incredible friends to my family and are missed dearly.

May the love of friends and family, and many beautiful quilts made by Lois carry you through your grief.
