Surrounded by his family, after a life well lived, Rudolf passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord. He passed from congestive heart failure at the age of 87, on January 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. Cremation has taken place. He married the love of his life Elaine Gostel (nee Brown) in 1956, and cele-brated 65 years of marriage in 2021. Preceded by his parents August and Anna Gostel. He was the loving father of Rudolf P. Gostel (Krystal, Ashley, R.J) and Evelyn and Robert Brown (David, Denise). He will be missed by his grandchildren: Krystal Gostel, Ashley Benjamin, Rudy Gostel. David (Gabbie) Brown, Denise (Alex) Voronkova. Great - grand-children: Alexus and Shelley (Benjamin), Rudy Jr. and Blake (Gostel), Onyx Voronkov, and Kirby Brown. Way too many nieces and nephews to mention who adored him. Sisters: Frieda Eichel, Bertha Bayer, Trudy Staab. Pre-deceased siblings: Emma Holl, Joe, August, and Albert Gostel. Daughter - in - law Shelley Gostel and nephew, Rick Gostel. Rudolf's family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Mem-orial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in the funeral home chapel. Those wishing to attend his visitation and ser-vice please RSVP through the funeral home website.
