Ruth Mary GLADSTONE

GLADSTONE, Ruth Mary (nee Fitzgibbon) 1945-2017 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Mary Gladstone on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the age of 72. She was surrounded by her devoted children and family. Beloved mother of Danielle M. Denis (Warren Kennerly) of Miami, Florida and Jean-Noel Denis (Eduina Sousa Denis) of Calgary, Alberta. Cherished ""Nana"" of Lockland Denis, Cheyenne Denis, Monika Sousa-Day, Bryanna Day and great-grandmother of Mauricio Sousa-Ness. Ruthie will lovingly be remember by her brothers, Jim (Linda) Fitgibbon and John (Cheryl) Fitzgibbon as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Ruth also leaves behind her beloved thoroughbred Ziggy Stardust. Predeceased by her husband, Glynne Gladstone (2010), her parents Earl and Arlene Fitzgibbon and her beautiful thoroughbreds, Jenny and Bailey. Ruth was an avid horseback rider who spent many hours riding and caring for her thoroughbreds. Ruth was a member of XI Alpha Rho Sorority and made many friends. Ruth became a parishioner and joined the choir at St. Louis RC Church in Waterloo. She found peace and compassion among her fellow parishioners. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ruth with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4 to 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Phil Reilly as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph.
