On July 5th, 2021 in her 100th year, Ruth passed into the spiritual world to reunite with her husband Delbert after 42 years. With a strong will, determined spirit and a quick wit, she lived her life on her terms, fearless and Independent. Born in Woodstock, Ontario she is predeceased by her parents, her brother, and her sister, and by most of her friends. She was always up for adventure and travel. Trips she fondly recalled were her Honeymoon in New York City in 1949, many winters spent in Florida, Cruising and traveling the globe, to many destinations, including visiting her son in California, Spain, Portugal, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Canada Coast to Coast and even camel riding in Morocco. Holding true to her rebellious spirit, she would happily show off the tattoo she got herself at age 75. She will be missed by her daughter, Maureen (Eric) Sanderson, her son Brian (Kathleen) Grainger, her three grandchildren, Natalee (Adam) Ziemanis, Neil (Beth) Sanderson and Scott Sanderson and her three Great-Grandchildren, Aiva, Xander and Lillian. Many thanks to Lanark Heights Long Term Care home for their good care the past 5 years. Cremation to take place and a future family celebration of life will be held. Her favorite charities included Doctors without Borders, War Amps & The Salvation Army.
