Sarah and I were in a Bible Study together at Conrad Grebel, UW. She was so kind, friendly, and fun! The group had a lot of good discussions about "Who is my neighbour?", and Sarah and I also laughed a lot while mopping floors at St. John's Kitchen. I'm delighted to learn about her many great adventures in life (travel, life in Ecuador, Spanish fluency, working with refugees...). It sounds like her far-too-short life has been so incredibly, lovingly, joyfully, well-lived, with a huge impact on others! Much strength to her loved ones.

I taught Sarah at UW. She was a dream student -- engaged, cheerful and talented. I knew she would be an asset to the actuarial profession. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sarah's passing. Sarah accompanied our mission team to Quito, Ecuador in January 2011and I really appreciated getting to know her a bit better. She would bring goods back from other countries and sell them to pay the people who made the goods, to help support them financially. Sarah was so kind and caring towards others. All who know Sarah will greatly miss her. I pray for comfort for your family as you struggle with her loss.

I met Sarah through her work for Impact Ecuador with International Teams and appreciated her intelligent, compassionate focus on that project. Her lovely character always shone through. My sympathies to her family and those whom she made her family through her sustained friendship and care.

I only know Sarah through some meetings and occasional meet in the hall way at work. But I always remember the sweet gentle smile on Sarah's face each time I met her. She was always clam and kind, only now did I know what she was facing then. I can't help but admire her quiet strength and grace. It is tragic to loss someone so young, good and full of life, but Sarah will live in our memory and we are grateful to have known Sarah in our life. My thoughts and prayers go to Sarah's family and friends.

I am very sorry for your loss.
About 15 years ago, Sarah interviewed me for full time employment and I was always grateful that she played a role in hiring me. I can still remember details of the interview and how welcome she made me feel. We didn’t work closely together but she would always be smiling and willing to chat if we saw each other in the hall or in line at the cafeteria. I am very sad to learn the news and I will miss seeing her and working with her.

Sarah was the kindest, warmest person imaginable. I have many fond memories from youth group, carpooling to high school and going on canoe trips with Sarah. She embodied God's love in all she did and I was blessed to know her as a friend. Our deepest sympathies to her husband and to Al Cheryl, Aaron and Tara and all impacted by this tremendous loss. Our prayers are with you all. We rest in the hope provided by Christ of meeting Sarah again in heaven.
Much Love.....Scott & Amy Woodland
