Terri S WILKINSON

With broken hearts, the family of Terri S Wilkinson announces her passing on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Survived by her beloved son, David Barth, brothers Mark and Greg (Anita). Pre-deceased by parents Harry and Violet (nee Gallagher), and younger sister Sarah Jamie Wilkinson. Fondly remembered by cousins, nieces and nephews. Terri was born in Weston, Ontario on September 15, 1954, before moving with her family to Orangeville in 1956, and then later to Kitchener. Terri excelled in Academics, graduating grade 12 from F.H.C.I in 1972, grade 13 from G.R.C.I. in 1973, Conestoga College Nursing Program 1975, University of Waterloo B.A. General Psychology 1983, York University the Osgoode Hall Law School Bachelor of Laws 1988, called to the bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada 1990. Terri had a passion for helping people, particularly the vulnerable and impoverished members of our community; beginning with her 20 year nursing career, appointment by the Office of the Children's Lawyer to represent children, volunteering with the Out of the Cold and Self Help Alliance programs, Thrift on Kent, was on the board of Directors for KDCHC, worked with Legal Aid, was a case manager with the Ontario Lawyer's Assistance Program, and has provided crisis and intervention support for people with addictions and mental health issues. Terri enjoyed her involvement with local Theatre, photography, travel, biking, nature, and most of all; helping people. Terri's family will receive relatives and friends for a Celebration of Life from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Anselma House c/o Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
