Thomas Fuhrman Obituary

With our hearts full of love and so many good memories we regret to announce the passing of Thomas (Tommy) Fuhrman on September 17, 2022.
His battle with cancer in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Tommy came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Tommy is survived by his children April, Sherry, Shannon, Landon, Sherri, Robert and grandchildren Devon, Daniella, Mario, Matteo, Evan, Alex, Brooke, Julian, Ellia, Andreas and great-grandfather to Chloe.
Longtime partner and companion of Erika. Brother to Jerry, Patrick and Danny. Predeceased by Bill (William) and Bell Fuhrman.
Tom touched people's hearts in ways he didn't even realize. Those close to Tommy knew him to always be perseverant and persuasive with the things that mattered most to him. Even though his failing health took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Kitchener humane society.

A celebration of life will be held on
September 24th between 12:30-3:00 p.m.

Found a second photo with Tom in the bottom right corner. Note the small trophy they got for winning the championship. FYI St. Teresa's teams won the championship for seven straight years back in the late 50s'/early 60s'.

If I recall correctly Tom, in a hard fought final game at the Aud against their perennial rival Sacred Heart Elementary School, scored the winning goal to give St. Teresa's the Kitchener-Waterloo Catholic School Board Hockey Championship.

To the Fuhrman Family

So sorry to hear about the passing of Tom. I went to school with him back in 1960 at St Teresa RC School and played hockey with him on the St Teresa's hockey team when we won the championship. Tom scored the winning goal in triple overtime against Sacred Heart School. Played hockey with him as well on the old hockey rink behind the school. Great memories.

Our deepest sympathy to you Erika and your family. We enjoyed many laughs at the Hockey Rink and at tournaments when Jordan played with Rob. May all the special memories you have ease your loss.

Always loved when Tom came into the office and he would tell stories about the wild days. Hopefully he's walking a fairway somewhere.
