Tom will be deeply missed and cherished forever by his wife Jane Becker. Loving and devoted father of son Ian McTavish (wife Julia Baltodano) daughter Erin McTavish (husband Ronnie Graham) and stepchildren Jason Becker (wife Martha Becker) and Sara Gluchowski (husband Stephen Gluchowski). Tom will be in the hearts of his grandchildren Autumn, Riley, Charlotte, Joshua, Alison, Sebastian, Samuel who will live on his legacy. Survived by his brother Murray (Deb) McTavish and sisters Judy (Bill Meyer), Bonnie Lou (Clare Denstedt) and Pat (Bill Ament). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Tom is predeceased and now reunited with his father and mother Alexander M. McTavish and Rheta A. McTavish. Tom provided his services at Jones Feedmill for 48 years, he started driving feed truck then moved on to head of dispatch until he retired in 2019. Tom's greatest passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren - other hobbies included woodworking, spending time in his workshop or rainy days with his Playstation or Nintendo. Memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to OSCPA or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the neighbours and first responders for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Without a doubt, Tom was one of the nicest, most genuine people that
I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I don't remember ever hearing a bad word said about him - everyone loved him. He will be immensely missed by all of us that worked with him (and were so happy for him when he retired last year) and especially by those of us lucky enough to call him a friend. There aren't enough words to express the depth of my sympathy for you, Jane and family, but for Tom's sake, I'm glad he went fast and didn't suffer. And if I had to guess, I'd say he is probably enjoying a leisurely boat ride on a beautiful lake right now, with a beer in his hand and a pal by his side. RIP Tom - fish on
