So sorry to hear of Darren´s passing. I hadn´t seen Darren for several years but I was one of his support staff for many years. As I received the news just today, I have been thinking of all the memories I had with Darren and I remember him with a full heart and a big smile. Shannon Mairs

I had the very good fortune to meet Darren in 1993 when I became a worker at his house in Burnaby, where he lived with Debbie and Teresa.
Darren was not much older than me and became like a brother to me.j I felt a special bond with Darren; learning about him as a young boy from his family and friends, I imagined that had his accident not changed the course of his life so drastically, we might have shared similar interests and lifestyles.
Darren and I had many fun adventures, taking trips to Vancouver Island, Squamish and Whistler, and we stayed in touch over the years after I no longer worked at his house. Again, I had the very good fortune to spend time with Darren and his mom on the day that he died. He looked so happy and healthy, as you can see from the picture Judy posted. It was a strange coincidence that we happened to get together that day, prior to my move to Vancouver Island. I am so grateful for that opportunity, and for the opportunity to have known and loved Darren, who was such a special person in my life. Darren, you were loved by many and you will be missed by all.
Much love to Judy and family.

Darren always seemed positive and very engaging. I loved his mischievous grin which I remember even in his early days when we would kick the soccer ball around.
