Makaela FERGUSON Obituary
Makaela was born in Richmond, BC, on September 27th, 2000 to her loving birth Mother Aengie Ferguson. A mutual decision was made when Makaela was 1 year old to be adopted by her grandparents whom she lived with for her entire childhood and post high school graduation from South Delta Secondary in 2018.
Makaela had a passion for music and attended singing classes for a number of years. She would often be heard in her house singing her favourite songs and working on what she had learned in class. Eventually, Makaela developed a desire to attend the John Casablanca Institute in Vancouver, BC. She moved to Vancouver once she was accepted and here, she studied Makeup Artistry and graduated in the Spring of 2021. Soon after graduation, she began volunteering on film sets using her new skill sets.
Makaela often spoke about wanting to get married and have children. She also wanted to travel and see the world. It is these dreams, that make this reality extremely hard.
but we want Makaela to know that her family
loves her very much.
She has parents, brothers, family and friends
that love her and will miss her deeply.
Makela is survived by her parents Richard and Cheryl Ferguson, her birth mother Aengie Ferguson, Bryce and Kelsey Ferguson (Everett), Casey and Jennifer Ferguson (Jack, Spencer), Connor and Brittany Ferguson, as well as many loving Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends that will miss her greatly.
Makaela was predeceased by her Grandparents Edward and Violet Link (Oma and Opa), as well as Ross and Katie Ferguson (Dado and Tutu). With this in mind, it comes with some comfort that they are together in heaven.
She was and is loved,
more than she could know.
There will be a celebration of Makaela's life on October 29th at 2:00 pm, at South Delta Baptist Church at 1988 56 Street, in Tsawwassen, BC

Our hearts are with you and your family at this time.
Makaela came into our family's lives from the time we moved into Tsawwassen back in 2002. She and my daughter enjoyed Birthdays, Halloweens, Church, Beach days and the list goes on. Makaela was always a positive force with a sweet smile. Makaela you will be missed dearly.

My heart is deeply broken. I know we lost contact as we got into the older years of high school but I will truly never forget the sleepovers and good times we did have ever since the first time I met makaela at gap. Jr
No matter how long we would go without talking it hanging out no matter what in groups or at school if we saw each other we’d still be able to say hi and have conversations as if we didn’t drift apart. Sending much love and all the support I can

It saddens me to learn of Makaela's passing. While I never taught Makaela, I saw her often at SDSS and at Thrifty Foods. She was a beautiful girl with a bright smile; was always pleasant and positive. So heartbreaking that her flame burned out long before she got the chance to chase her dreams. You will be missed Makaela. Rest in peace sweet girl. Wishing the Ferguson family strength and peace.

It is with inexplicable sorrow that I write these words of Jim's and my grief since Makaela's passing. Makaela was a beautiful young woman. We feel very deeply for all her family in their loss.
Makaela was always polite and kind in conversation with us over the years. She also was free spirited with ideas mentioned of fun and adventure in the future. She spoke of high school interests and future jobs that would lead in that direction.
Since their marriage in 2009, our son in law Bryce and our daughter Kelsey have both loved and supported Makaela. We knew very well of the special events and activities that they did with Makaela.
As we said, so so sad.

Im so very sorry for your loss. I remember Makeala as a very polite, well spoken young girl. She would come to our house to play with our daughter and always had a huge smile on her face and enjoyed life. She chatted a mile a minute and always welcomed anyone into her world. She was sweet and caring. She will be missed.
