Aeneas MacISAAC Obituary

Aeneas Gerard MacIsaac, 75, of Burlington, Ontario, passed away on February 11. He lived an eventful life, but cancer got him in the end.

Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia to the late A.B. & Peggy (MacDonald) MacIsaac.

Aeneas was known for his sense of humour, strong faith, willingness to help out a friend, and the love and pride he had for his family. He was a great listener and storyteller, and the number of stories he told about others was nearly matched by the number of stories other people told about him. Aeneas worked for many years with local 67 Plumbers and Pipefitters and John Ebos Fuels.

He is survived by his wife Barb (Fraser), children Krista MacIsaac Barclay (Dave), Toronto; Tracey Tompkins (Lorne), London; Craig MacIsaac (Kailie), Burlington; siblings, Donnie (Murdo), Antigonish; Allan (late Valerie), Antigonish; Alec (Rosemary), Antigonish; Cordis (John) Boyd, Burlington; Ian (Judy), Antigonish; Joanne (late Lloyd) Smith, Antigonish; grandchildren Felix, Flora, Hugo, Cooper & Nixon; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Tuesday February 15 from 3pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 16 at 10:30am at Holy Rosary Church, 287 Plains Road East. Interment at a later date. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance by at www.smithsfh.com. Dearest Barb,
I´m so sorry to hear that your best boyo Aeneas went home to God so soon, and so young.
What a fine man! Always so happy, so hospitable, so caring, an all around wonderful guy. I´m sure you will miss him very much.
I´m sure the angels worked overtime to make his arrival something very special, and I expect Ed was among his cheerleaders. Who wouldn´t be, Heaven will never be the same!
All my love Mick

With deepest condolences to Aeneas's family also Cordis and his siblings.
Many fond memories of our years at the Rural High. There was never a dull moment with Aeneas in our class! He was a great classmate. It was great to have connected on FB wish we had being able to meet up but Covid prevented that happening. RIP Friend.

Thoughts and prayers to all.
