COOLS-LARTIGUE, Alan Joseph Passed peacefully surrounded by family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Shirley Ann (nee Robertson) (2013). Proud father of Rob Cools-Lartigue (Patricia) of Hamilton, late Pamela Ann Dorion (2016) (Dan) of Mississauga, Thomas Cools-Lartigue (Judy) of Hamilton and Neil Cools-Lartigue (Wendy) of Burlington. Cherished grandfather of James Cools-Lartigue, Wayne Cools-Lartigue, Calan Dorion (Michelle), Robie Dorion (Kailey), T.J. Cools-Lartigue, Cody Cools-Lartigue, Robbie Klassen (Samantha Visser), Kerri Klassen, Jaime Cools-Lartigue and Brock Cools-Lartigue. Great-grandfather of Bryce, Chase, Ethan and Cole. Predeceased by siblings Desmond Cools-Lartigue (late Eleanor) of Montreal and Barbara Farrell (late Tom) of Burlington. Alan will also be sadly missed by niece Colleen Farrell, nephew Patrick Farrell and his children Shane and Isabelle, as well as other extended family and numerous friends. A special thank-you to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and The Court at Rushdale for their kindness and compassion and the excellent care provided. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home's Chapel on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to immediately follow. Private cremation and interment to follow at a later date.
