Anne Thomson MATHIESON

MATHIESON, Anne Thomson June 28, 1940 - December 25, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother in the early hours on Christmas morning. Anne passed very peacefully with family at her side at The Village of Glendale Crossing in London, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her children Gail (Greg) Barber, and Rob (Kellieann) Mathieson, beloved grandmother of Sydney and Cole Barber and Makenna and Maddox Mathieson. Cherished sister to Margaret (Archie) Paterson, John Higgins, and the late William (Jenny) Higgins, aunt to many nieces and nephews. Longtime partner to the late Ernest Topliss. Predeceased by her parents John ""Jockie"" and Elizabeth Higgins, formerly of Kilmichael Ave. Newmains, Scotland. Born in Motherwell, Scotland, Anne enjoyed life to the fullest. She truly loved entertaining her family and many friends at her home on Lakeshore Rd. in Burlington, Ontario. The family is eternally grateful for the gracious care and sincere love provided by the staff at Glendale Crossing while taking care of our mother. At Anne's request she has been cremated and a gathering will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Anne's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
