Anthony EDWARDS Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tony (Anthony) on May 24, 2022, in his 52nd year at the Juravinski Hospital. He was surrounded by the love of his sister Dorothy cherished children and best friend in life Sheila. Tony surrendered, against his will to a short but persistent battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma since May 2021. Tony's contagious personality and strength was admired by all who had the opportunity to know him. He will be remembered for his love of sports, music, fishing, and the great outdoors but for most for the love that he had for his family and friends. Blessed with a beautiful family too big to mention all near and far and friends who have become family over the years, he will be deeply missed. You were taken from us way too soon in which we are struggling with. We had so much to live for but now without choice we will hold onto these memories made, cherish, and find comfort in them forever. A very special thank you to Dr. Hillis and nurse Juliana at the JCC, the hematology team on C-4, his ODS girls and everyone else he was blessed to have been cared for by. He truly appreciated you all. In lieu of flowers please send any donations to the Cancer Assistance Program. At Tony's request there will be no funeral service but a private celebration of life in the future. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca

Dear Sheila, Abby and the rest of your family.
We are so very sorry for the loss of Tony. Our girls (the two Abby Ks!) spent so many years playing hockey together and it was always fun hanging out with Tony at the rink. He was always smiling and could always be counted on for a funny story or just a great conversation. He was such a nice, sincere guy who had a knack for making anyone and everyone feel welcome.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, you have our most sincere condolences.

Tony's Mom, Dot, was one of my dearest friends. He was only a boy when I knew him, but I still laugh when I think of the stunts he pulled and the laughs we had. RIP, dear Tony...I'm SO very sorry to his family and friends. Alex let me know this morning. God bless you all in this sad time. Xo
