I remember Tony as a wonderful, kind and loving individual. His warmth of character and devotion to whatever he did was genuine and his giving and gentle nature was always apparent. Although, we had not been in contact for many years, our paths crossed a few years ago, where it seemed like nothing had changed and I saw the same kind hearted person I knew throughout our high school years. My sincere condolences to all his siblings, extended family and dear ones over his loss. His legacy of goodness has followed him to heaven, and his soul rests in the arms of our Lord. God Bless you all.

Tony was my colleague and friend for many years at Cardinal Newman. He was the ultimate professional and truly loved his job and cared about his students. He set a high standard as a teacher.

I will never forget his desk in the workroom. The piles of books and papers covered every inch and were definitely a health and safety hazard but he knew where everything was. When we tried to play a trick on him by moving some papers around, he knew right away that his desk had been messed with. But he had a great sense of humor about it.

On a personal note, I remember Tony's love of photography. Tony offered to take photos of my wedding and after the birth of my twins. He provided me with beautiful photos and a lovely wedding album, all for free. He was a generous, caring man and I am devastated that I learned of his passing too late to attend the funeral.

Tony was a gentleman and a gentle man and he will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences to his extended family and friends. May his memory be a blessing to you always.

There are certain teachers you'll have in your student life that will be with you well into adulthood. Mr. Briatico taught me general science & biology 20+ years ago. I'm certain his genuine passion for science lit a fire in many students. He was always patient, kind and had a higher, intellectual sense of humour.

I remember him telling us how little he slept every night and it's something that I thought was okay for myself to do as a grown up (he was right)

He's one of those teachers that you aspire to emulate for the benefit of your own students.

So much time has passed since I last saw Tony. It was during high school graduation time at Saint Mary's in 1978. Tony exemplified what was good in all of us. Tony , inspired us, by his examples, to be the best we can be when it came to accedemics and just general honest behaviour. I wish we spent more time together. My condolences to Tony's family and freinds

So very sorry to hear this upsetting news. Though separated by distance and years Tony was always a brother and eternal friend. No one else at St. Mary's High embodied intelligence, calmness, sensibility, faith, council and wisdom as Tony did while the rest of us were simply reckless teens. He inspired drive to push ourselves in education and careers. It's so wonderful that he made a career of it to the benefit of the next gen.
I am grateful for our too brief and few reunions over the years. But time never separated us. Though this is very tough news I pray Tony has found wonderful peace and continues to watch over all of us. Un grande abbraccio e bacio carissimo amico. Dio sia con te.
And may God comfort you the Briatico siblings and extended families.
