Arthur KUNTZ Obituary

On September 2, 2021 Keith took another step on his long journey of 93 years, a peaceful passing surrounded by his loving children.

A father to George (deceased) (Mary Clare), John (Marylin) (deceased), Cameron (Margaret), Cindy (Brian), Kathy (Ron), and Colleen (Graham). Grandfather to George, Jimmy, Jamie, Donald, Jonathan, Amy, Kandy, Keith, Allan, Justin, Joel, Michael, Monica, Ryan, Caytlin, Carley and a great-grandfather to eleven with one on the way.

Survived by his siblings Richard, Madelon and Diane.

Keith was a company man for 42 years at Dofasco. He was an old hippie, an organic gardener, an environmentalist before it was a thing, an activist, peacenik and a socialist, a nature lover, and role model for many who still love him. A charitable man with a big heart. A husband for sixty-three years. A man well read and a man who loved life and took many opportunities to enjoy it.

Keith had the opportunity to celebrate his life with those close to him in his last week as he was able to choose the time of his passing. Due to Covid there are no plans for a celebration of life at this time but we hope those who cared for him and knew him well will express their love by planting a tree or wildflower garden in honour of his memory.

We'd also like to thank the MAiD team for their kindness and professionalism in creating a serene atmosphere for Keith's final moments.

A final salute to our father, brother and great friend who has been here to touch, influence and be a part of so many people's lives. We have all been so blessed to have known him.

My deepest condolences. I remember your father (and grandfather) fondly. My mother knew him as a child -- they had a lot of shared memories of growing up in Hamilton during the Great Depression. Here is a photograph of him dancing with your mother (and grandmother) way, way back in the day. Also shown: the Hollands, the Allens, and the Farquhars.

Keith was a family friend of my Dad Harley Vallee. They met in High School. I have a class picturean all boys class from Westdale High School. After Dad passed in 1995 Keith kept in contact with my Mom calling to see how we all were and to catch up on family happenings. Keith always had a big smile and a friendly hello when I saw him.

Our condolences to Keith’s family. He will be missed.

Love, Agnes, Gayle, Gwen and Paula Vallee

I always new him as Keith. He was my father's best friend as I grew. I was thrilled to get to see him again at Connies 90th birthday and he seemed happy to see my Dads grown children. Keith may you rest in peace with your loved ones. I'm happy you hang out with Harley again...but you two...stay out of trouble! ❤

Who’s Arthur?
Love and light to all of you as you learn to be in the world without your beloved Keith. It was a delight to know him. Our family will plant milkweed for the butterflies, to honour his memory.
Rest now, Handsome.
