Audrey DIPPER Obituary

May 16, 1928 - April 10, 2022

Mom passed away peacefully at Albright Manor in Beamsville, Ontario on a sunny Sunday morning. How appropriate; a perfect Sunday for Mom was church, family and making Sunday dinner.

Mom was born in Hamilton and grew up at Hamilton Beach. She moved to Grimsby with her family as a teenager and married Dad in 1949. Common to many women of that era, she left her job as a Bell Telephone operator to start a family. Dad's position with Ontario Hydro took them to Keswick where David, Ken, Cathy and Doug were raised.

A sense and service to neighbours and the church defined Mom. She was devoted to Dad and dedicated to her children; Mom personified true motherhood. She was a positive person and didn't let life's disappointments and health issues defeat her. She wrestled with cancer more than once. The long road of Alzheimer's dimmed her bright light and eventually took her from us, but it never broke her spirit.

The family wishes to thank and honour the entire staff of Albright Manor for their heartfelt care. Dad has lost his bride of nearly 73 years and the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have lost an endearing part of their lives.

"Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
Proverbs 31:28-29

In lieu of flowers, we know that Mom would truly appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society which was near and dear to her heart.

Service of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street, Vineland, Ontario. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m. After service reception at Vineland Missionary Church, 3874 Victoria Ave., Vineland.

Dear Cathy, Mr. Dipper, David, Kenny and Doug
My sincere, heart felt condolences. I am saddened to hear of such loss of a wonder loving, kind, caring wife, Mother, Grandma and friend to all, who were blessed to know such a beautiful soul.
I was one of the those lucky ones. Right from the age of 5 years (maybe even younger) old to present. I remember visiting the Dipper household and I was always made to feel welcome. Mrs. Dipper made the BEST cookies. I would come home with Cathy after school to the sweet aroma. Then, I would see Mr. and Mrs. Dipper out for their evening walk every evening and we always waved. Mrs. Dipper was a devoted Wife and Mother and was active in the community. Known for her out going, kind, friendly and welcoming personality. The lord has one of the best resting in his arms.
The days ahead will be challenging for all, but remember the good times and the deep love you shared, the laughs and life experiences that you all shared together. Let those memories carry you thru the difficult days. Always know she is only but a thought, a memory away and always watching over you all.
Love and hugs to all the Dipper family,
To Mr. Dipper, I am sending you the biggest hug and my heart felt condolences. What a beautiful life you shared together. A true love story to the end. Love and hugs to all of you. Xxoo. Wendy Henry

Cathy, my dear friend, Mr. Dipper and all the Dipper family, My sincere condolences at the passing of your wonderful mother, wife, grand and great grandmother. She was a caring, vibrant and encouraging presence over the many years I was blessed to know her. Since Cathy and I met at the beginning of college, I have spent many visits over the years with Mr. and Mrs. Dipper, having dinner, talking and spending time together. Mrs. Dipper was always interested in what we were doing and how our lives were evolving. She and Mr. Dipper were an incredible example of true love. I will miss her laughter and sense of humour. Sincerely, Karen xo

Sending much love to the Dipper family as they mourn the loss of their beautiful wife and mother. Growing up with Cathy, I spent time in the Dipper household. Even from a young age, the love and devotion that her parents had for one another was very apparent to me. They had a knack of making you feel welcome in their home and treating you with respect. I have memories of them going for long walks after dinner which I thought was amazing. Without a doubt, they were the living example of a "Ward and June Cleaver" family to me -- devoted to one another, instilling solid values in their children, and serving as true Christians in their everyday actions. Rest in peace, Mrs. Dipper for you have lived a full and purposeful life.
