Audrey Wiecha Obituary

Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Wednesday March 2, 2022, Audrey Wiecha in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Wiecha (2009). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Jackie and Ray Moynagh, Joyce and Larry Webb, Cathy and Anthony Scarfone, and Barb and Jim Durka. Loved Grammie of the late Brian (Carrie), Alison (Nora), Larisa (Jason), Katie, Debrah (Brian), Matthew (Kristina), James (Jessica), Chuck, and Melissa (Mike). Great Grammie to Makayla, Mackenzie, Sydney, Cora, Kendall, Veronica, Zoey and Jack. Predeceased by her sister Wanda Pastrak and brother Walt Ambrose. Audrey and Jack were owners of Ambrose Variety for over 48 years. Audrey was a founding member of St. Stanislaus' Catholic Women's League. A volunteer at the Good Shepherd for over 20 years. She was an avid bowler and knitter. A special thank you to Seasons Retirement in Stoney Creek for the care Audrey received this past year. Donations to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Ave.) on Monday, March 7th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9. A Chapel service will be held at the Funeral Home Tuesday, March 8th at 11 A.M. If you wish to attend, RSVP in advance is required for both the visitation and service separately at www.dermodys.com or by phoning 905-388-4141. Masks and social distancing are mandatory.

To Cathy and family, sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady and lived a full life. You were always there for your mother and I'm sure she will be missed.
