Mrs. Geddes was my teacher in grade two at Green Acres Public School, back in 1960. My most vivid memory of her, was how a classmate pushed me to the ground in the boys washroom, and without asking me any questions, she sent me straight to the principle’s office where I got the strap. That sad memory of harshness and unfairness has stayed with me all of my life. She was a unenthusiastic, expressionless teacher with a glum disposition, lacking any compassion for young children. I’m glad she got out of teaching before she could damage too many more children. I can only suppose that when she went to work at her husband’s flower shop, that she brought him much despair and, that her presence killed a lot of beautiful flowers.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Russell and Norman and family.
Although we were were not close, I did enjoy being a flower along with my sister Susan at your parents wedding many years ago. I also remember Barb's great smile and laugh.
May your Memories of good times help you through this difficult time.

Norm, Cathy and Elizabeth, we are so sorry to hear about your mom’s and Grandmother’s passing. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your entire family. Your mom had a wonderful life and as time takes your sadness away we are confident fond memories will take its place. Love always Marty, Debbie and family.

Our most sincere sympathy to you Russell and Nancy, our niece! I only met your Mom once at the family flower shop on Main Street while ordering flowers many years ago and found her a very pleasant and congenial lady. May God help you through these difficult times.
