Betty Pearson Obituary

PEARSON, Betty (nee Constance Barnett) (PETERS) With heavy hearts, the family of Betty Pearson sadly announces her passing. She was carried away peacefully by the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in her 99th year. Betty was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Peters who was killed in action during WWII; her second husband Jack Pearson (1989); son John Pearson (2017) and son David Peters (2020). Betty was a loving mother to David(d) (Vivi d. 2016), William (Lee), Jackie Logan (Ian), Patti Salmond (Lorne), John(d) (Teresa), and Philip (Amanda). She also leaves behind many extended family and friends. Mom's outstanding quality was her devotion to her children, 20 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren whose names and birthdays she knew and remembered and to whom she was always a listening ear. A private family service has taken place with burial at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Amica Stoney Creek and Bayshore for their excellent care over these past three years. We are truly thankful that through the diligence of Amica, Mom was protected from Covid-19. Thanks to Steve Lindsay for your comforting words and officiating our service. A special thanks to Tom Busch and Donald V. Brown Funeral Home for all your assistance and guidance. I have wonderful memories of my Aunt Betty going back to the fifties and all through the years that our extended family clan were so often all together. She was quiet and gentle and, even as a child, I could see how devoted she was to her children. I'm glad she had her family around her in her later years and I send my heartfelt condolences to all her children and grandchildren. my cousins.

Aunt Betty was always a joyful and gracious light in my life. She reflected the person of Jesus so often and sought to be an authentic Christ-follower.
