Bruce Robertson Obituary

Our dear Bruce has set sail on his final journey. At last his beautiful soul has found peace. His unexpected passing, in his residence in Vancouver, BC, has left a painful void in the hearts of his cherished family members, and countless friends and acquaintances that he had made throughout his colourful and adventurous life.
Predeceased by his father, James Robertson, and adored older brother Alan Robertson. Bruce was the beloved son of Margaret Robertson, whom he'd always claimed was his very best friend. Loving brother to Linda Pezzaniti (Frank), Margaret Colao (Andrew), and in Vancouver, brother and confidant John Robertson (Jana). Adored uncle to Tony, Amanda, Christopher, Kereena, Aaron, Emma, James, and Sophia.
Bruce's handsome smile, charming demeanour, sense of humour, and readiness to aid those in need, drew many people to him. He was a Jack of all trades, and generously offered his time and skills to each of us in our homes. He was kind, loving, polite, charismatic and the best giver of hugs. He could talk to anyone, never judging.
Although he lived in the city, he was happiest and had his best adventures in the great outdoors. He was a music lover, (especially the Rolling Stones.)
Rest easy dear Bruce, you'll be forever fondly remembered in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, reach out to a friend or loved one and remind them how much they mean to you, and if desired, donate to the Charity of Your Choice.

I´m absolutely gutted by this news. Only found out a few days ago that Bruce had passed. Bruce was the unofficial welcoming committee for anyone that left Dundas and went to Vancouver either to live or visit. He was such a charismatic and loyal guy. I always thought Bruce should have gone to Hollywood he was such a character. To John and the Robertson family, my sincerest condolences. Your son and brother was a truly great guy. Paul G. Boyle

I think I speak for my mom, my siblings, Bruce´s nieces and nephews and the rest of our family when I say our hearts are breaking from Bruce´s untimely passing. He was the loving "wild child" who used his 9 lives up too quickly. I hope he can know how much he touched the lives of so many people, in the past in Dundas and most recently in Vancouver. We appreciate your kind words, it means a lot to us, even though we don´t know you all. Our dear brother has moved on to a new adventure, may he rest in peace. Love,Linda, Frank, Tony, Amanda, Kereena and most of all his mom Margaret.

John & Family, I was so saddened to hear of Bruce´s sudden passing. Your grief at this time must be overwhelming.
I have so many memories of Bruce from our younger years in Dundas that I will cherish forever.
I´ll always remember the beautiful tribute he wrote to be read at Dave Hurl´s memorial service in Dundas.
Bruce was certainly "one of a kind" with his one liners, sense of humour and charming character. He had a smile that could light up a room and the beautiful "Robertson" eyes that nobody could forget.
Hugs to all his family and hoping your special memories of Bruce will help to ease your pain at this time.
Love Steph

My heart breaks for you John, as I know how close you were with Bruce. Know this . You were so lucky to have a brother like him, so cherish those memories. Bruce always had a joke for me to make me smile. At famous ravine bashes, at Gliders (where we worked together) or around near his house in pleasant valley . He was also a regular pool hopper at my house in the summer, and my dad didn´t mind because he really like him . So much that he also hired Bruce for the odd job . Please wish your family my condolences

Bruce , I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I wanted you to know, that I looked up to you always. You had my back and watched out for me. Your respect was very important to me and I hope I earned it? Boy we did have some fun didn´t we? Lol but even when we were bad we were still good. Never trying to hurt anyone but to help when needed . I am deeply saddened by your loss, I pray for you that you find the strength and comfort that you need to help you carry on. My sincerest condolences in this time of grief.
