Carl Nickel Obituary

Passed away too soon on July 2, 2022, doing what he loved: getting things done. Beloved husband to Larissa and cherished father to Rebecca, Daniel (Angel), Kimberly (Faris), Anton, James and honourary son, Rob. Carl will be deeply missed by his extended family, relatives and friends, including the four-legged ones. Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Bernice Nickel, and his dear brother Donald. Carl was the owner of Halton Hydraulics. He was humble and passionate about his work, and valued his working relationships with clients and coworkers alike. One of Carl's more appropriate mottos was to "float like a feather". He floated through every day with compassion and humour. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday July 7, 2022 from 1pm - 5pm and 7pm - 9pm, at KITCHING STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N. where the Funeral will take place on Friday July 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Interment at Millgrove Cemetery to follow. Today I learned of Carl's passing. Really sadden me to hear he's gone. A true Joy to speak with and share stories. Great Man ! World needs more Carl's ! All to Best to his Family !

My family owns the business directly beside Carl's shop. I looked forward to seeing him out front in the morning as he pulled in. Always a wave and a good morning. We would talk business for a bit, but the conversation would soon turn to Carl's love of his Chrysler muscle cars. Carl would pop into our office for a chat or I would stop over to see how things were going. To his son Dan who I also knew from the shop, I am so sorry for your loss. Please pass on my condolences to your family. Carl was larger than life and will be missed dearly. I was so sad to learn of his passing, but fortunate to have known such a wonderful man.
