Carol GILLESPIE Obituary
GILLESPIE, Carol It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Carol on July 22, 2019. Loving mother to Alicia Ramberan-Barrow and grandchildren Brady and Sophia Barrow. Carol will be missed by her brother George Gillespie, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Carol is predeceased by her parents Edgar and Dorothy Gillespie and sisters Deanna Christensen and Peggy Thompson. Carol had a long and fulfilling career with the H.W.D.S.B. as a teacher, eventually retiring as a high school principal. She gave back to her community by volunteering with Crime Stoppers and the Mark Preece Family House. In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services. If desired, memorial donations made to the Mark Preece Family House would be appreciated by Carol's family.

I learned Shakespeare and poetry in Carol's classes at Southmount Secondary in Hamilton. She was an enthusiastic and caring teacher. Later, I was briefly of colleague of Carol's at Norwood Park School. We always appreciated her professionalism and personal touch. A great lady!
