Carol Anne HALMAN

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Anne on Sunday, January 8th in her 77th year at St. Joseph's Hospital. Loving mother to Unity Jessica Schmidt (Phi Ralph), birth mother to Michelle McKenzie (Roberto). Beloved Oma Woof to grandchildren Riven and Sativa. Cherished sister to Marion Collop (Robert) and Jack Hedman (Nadia), and her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins (Collop's, Hedman's, Halman's, Fiors', Filip's, Ballantyne's, Martin's, Jussila's, MacNab's). Best friend of Tony Halman. Daughter of Margaret Eileen Hedman (Nee McPhee) & Henry Alfred Hedman. She will be missed by family and friends including Franz, Martin and Annette Schmidt. Carol was a devoted nurse at St. Joe's for 38 years and will be fondly remembered for the care and love she gave. Cookie had a special fondness of birds and all animals, gardening, baking and cooking, music and dancing. May her healer's heart always reach her loved ones in the music of life's dance, and all the memories shared. Memorial Visitation will take place at DODSWORTH & BROWN ANCASTER CHAPEL (378 Wilson St. E.) On Thursday, January 19th from 6-8 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at KNOLLWOOD GOLF CLUB (914 Book Road W).
