(Owner of Beverly Building Supplies) - It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Doug on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Allison (nee Hachmann). Dear father of Christopher (Kathy), Matthew (Kyna), and Philip. Loving grandfather of Serena and Mark. Brother to Richard (predeceased) (Bev), Jonathan (Joan) in BC and Melanie (Robert). Doug was a very kind man and will be greatly missed by many. He was a past member of the Rockton volunteer Fire Department. Doug was a member of Centenary United Church in Hamilton where he sang in the choir for many years. He was treasurer for the Model Engineering Club of Hamilton and always looked forward to their meetings and fellowship with other members. Doug very much enjoyed playing his mandolin, flute and keyboard. Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral; a celebration of Doug's life will be held at a later date (when we can be together safely). We extend a special thank you to Dr. Kouroukis at the Juravinski Cancer Centre for his utmost care and compassion. Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family.
