Charlie Cuffaro Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Charlie Cuffaro, beloved husband and father on April 4th, 2022 in his 89th year. He was devoted to his loving wife Lena of 65 years. He will be deeply missed by his son Frank (Amy), and daughters Rose (Richard), Rita (Philip) and Angela (Steve). He will be forever remembered as their cherished Nonno by his loving grandchildren, Matteo, Marco, Daniella, Brian, Christina, and Anthony. Beloved son of the late Rosa and Francesco Cuffaro, and son-in-law of the late Concettina and Angelo Farruggia, and loved by his late brothers Lorenzo (Gina) and Sam, loved brother to Alfonso (Carmelina), Joe (Connie), missed by his sisters, Josie (Frank), Frances (Charlie), and in-laws Mary (Lorenzo), Charlie (Angela), Vince (Mary) and many nieces, nephews and relatives in Canada and Italy. Born on June 24th, 1933 in Montaperto, Sicily and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He proudly worked at Stelco for 25 years and happily retired in 1993. He loved his home and gardening was his joy. Will be missed by all his neighborhood friends. He was the life of the party at every wedding leading the conga line! The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Extendicare Hamilton for their care and compassion given to Charlie over the last 2 years. They have become Charlie's extended family. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E.,(near James) on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 9am-12pm, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1pm, at All Souls Church. Entombment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Dementia Society.

Our Deepest condolences to all of you. Sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was such a nice man. We enjoyed chatting with him when he visited Lena in Aberdeen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
