Cheryl passed away suddenly after her courageous battle with cancer with her loving mother, Joan MacDonald, and devoted partner, Victor Starecky, by her side.
Cheryl was born and raised in Hamilton. She competitively swam with the Hamilton Aquatic Club and through her high school years at Hillfield Strathallan College. She entered McMaster University where she obtained her Social Work Degree. She worked with a local lawyer through her teen years and then eventually assisted her mother in her law practice.
She entered the workforce with the City of Hamilton as a Social Worker where she pursued her passion and fierce independence to help others in the community. She joined the LRT, Pesticide and Fluoride debates. She was a loyal friend and trusted confidant to many family members and friends over the years.
She travelled with her mother to many legal conferences throughout Canada and the USA particularly The American Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, where she developed many long-time friends specifically in Texas, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Mexico, Law Vegas and Toronto to name a few.
Cheryl's passion was antiques and she followed her passion to Weird Stuff Store in Hamilton where she brought the store into Award Winning iconic status. She also became known as the "Tesla Girl" as a fervent follower of Nikola Tesla and his healing ways.
As a long-time member of ACTRA, (Actra Fraternal Benefits Society) for over two decades she has been in numerous commercials, movies, TV series such as Murdoch Mysteries, The Good Witch and recently "In The Pink."
Cheryl will be missed and always remembered for her spiritual nature, her striking blue eyes - the mirror of her soul and her infectious smile and laugh.
Thank you for everyone's support.
Cremation has taken place. A future internment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in the mausoleum with her grandmother Jennie Herbolic.

Cheryl will be missed by so many and all of us better for having known her. I always enjoyed speaking with her at family gatherings. In our younger years i loved running into her in the halls at HSC and telling friends she was my cousinas she was so beautiful . We caught up at my 20th and her 25th reunion and kept in touch periodically through social media. She reached out numerous times when my stepson was going through his own cancer battle and yet she never let on she had her own struggle to contend with. She will be missed by many and a bright light has been dimmed too soon. RIP Cheryl

I like capturing sunsets, it´s always so beautiful and spectacular....The only sunsets I don´t like are the ones I miss.... The sun will set on us all, as we are so well aware. Sadly, the sun has infamously set on my beautiful friend . I miss you Cheryl, my radiant friend what I wish is to have shared more laughters, more champagnes, just more together with you... You´ll be missed always my beautiful, spectacular sunset
