Peacefully with her family by her side on October 4th in her 102nd year. Chiyoko reunited with her late husband of 66 years Kaname (Harry) Izumi. Loving mother of Diane (Dennis Nishizaki) and Janet Izumi (Keith Mochizuki). Adoring and doting grandma to Brett (Laura), Kimiye (Scott), Evan (Kim) and Jon (Rachel). Survived by her two sisters Margaret Takako Kawai and Sachi (Singy) Suefuji. Will be missed by her extended family and her numerous Odori (Japanese Dance) students past and present. Chiyoko was a graceful Odori performer, dedicated Sensei, and founder of the Hamilton Suzuran Kai Odori group. In 2010, she was awarded the Ontario Senior Achievement Award in recognition of her multiple decades of teaching Japanese culture through her Odori Instruction.
