Claire Marie COMEAU

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Claire Marie Comeau, on Monday, August 2, 2021, in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her loving husband George. Claire will be lovingly remembered by her children Linda and husband Brian, Christine and husband Zlatko, Robert and wife Suzette. Cherished grandmother to Adam (Maya), Ryan, Gaige (Stephanie), Atrayu (Ala), Michael (Alex), David (Jessica), Jean-Pierre (Shelley), Christian (Jennifer) and Serge. Devoted great-grandmother to Everly and Charlotte, Marc-Andre and Katie. Caregiver to so many. Loving daughter, sister and sister-in-law to Armand and Gracia Lecompte, Desneige and Gerry, Conrad, Bertha and Vincent, Leo and Claudette, Lillian and Arthur (all predeceased). Survived by Denise (Guy), Germain and Denise. Daughter-in-law and sister-in-law to Albert and Elizabeth, Alma and Jim and Alex (all predeceased). Survived by Marie and Eldon (Louise). Claire was very devoted to her faith, family and friends and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her long-time friend Marie Crone and everyone whose lives she touched. Her friendly way, her smile and joyful laugh made her a delight to be around. Many thanks go out to the wonderful and compassionate staff at Grandview Lodge - Creek View Memory Care and the excellent team of nurses and doctors at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital both in Dunnville. Special thank you to Virginia, Mom's guardian angel and P.S.W., who was instrumental in helping our Mom ease into her new home. Visitation will take place at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Sunday, August 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Pre-registration is not required, masks and contact tracing will be in effect. Funeral Mass will take place at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 305 East 37th St., on Monday, August 9th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Creek View Memory Care at Grandview Lodge in Dunnville will be gratefully acknowledged.
