Corradina Santini Obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and nonna, Corradina Santini, on January 1, 2021, at the age of 87. Her journey here on Earth began on February 1, 1933, in Basto Valle Castellana, Abruzzo, Italia. Corradina immigrated to Canada in 1956 to join her sister. In 1958, she married Filippo Santini and they began their life together in Hamilton and Stoney Creek. Corradina is now in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, where he has welcomed her with open arms. She is now reunited with her daughter Loreana and her grandson Michael Cusimano. Loving wife of Filippo for 62 years. Beloved mother of Marisa (Leo), Cialini, Peter (Barbara) Santini and mother-in-law of Dr. Stephen Cusimano (Karen). Cherished nonna of Philip, Daniel, Kayla, Sara, Sienna, Evianna, Rachel, Alessia and Nathaniel. They were her greatest treasures. As the matriarch of her family, she loved sharing holidays, birthdays, special occasions with her family. She enjoyed preparing her special dishes and meals and hosting celebrations at the long family table. She was strong in her faith, and lived the values of love, dedication, perseverance and commitment to family. She is survived by her sister Norina DiStefano. She will be deeply missed by her large, loving Ciprietti and Santini families, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Hamilton, Toronto, Montreal, Italy, and the United States. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the family will be having a private service at this time. An in-person Celebration of Life and Funeral Mass will be celebrated in coming months once the current Covid-19 restrictions allow us to do so. In place of flowers, we encourage memorial contributions to support Corradina's beloved St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 165 Prospect Street N., Hamilton, ON Canada L8L 6X8. Donations can be made on line at: www.stanthonyofpaduahamilton.org Obituary information is available to view on-line at Smiths Funeral Home, Stoney Creek: www.smithsfh.com
