Daniela Conz Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Daniela at the age of 67, at Hamilton General Hospital on October 31, 2022. Daniela is deeply missed by her beloved soulmate Renzo of 38 years of marriage. Their love and devotion to each other was like no other. Cherished mother of Amelia (Alex) and Simon. Her children were her pride and joy, bringing endless love and amusement throughout her life. She is predeceased by her parents Pelino and Armida. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Luigi (Susan), Gabriela (Brian), Umberto (Cindy), of Canada, Antonietta (Aldo) and the late Ivo and Claudia of Italy. Daniela was the best wife, mother, sister, and Zia anyone could have hoped for, always willing to share her many talents, time and love when called upon. She is remembered by her nieces, nephews and God children, Christopher (Rose), Mathew (Sarah), Joseph (Adrianna), Natalie, Jonathan (Abigail), Julia. Mitchell, Alegra, Olav, Giorgia, Luca and Ludmilla of Italy. She is missed by many cousins, family, friends in both Canada and Italy. Daniela was extremely talented in her sewing skills, being our go to for alterations. She was a fantastic cook and baker, an excellent gardener and highly skilled in-home improvement projects. She is known for giving the greatest hugs, and her wisdom and love continues to warm our hearts. She was also a proud member of the CWL (St. Joseph's Church) for over 20 years devoting her time and cooking skills to the line-ups of people at the church bazaars, waiting for her delicious meatballs and Italian sauce she learned from her parents, always with Renzo by her side as the sous chef. Her career with HMECU and Effort Trust touched many members and co-workers, always willing to support and advise. Special thanks to the staff at the Dialysis Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital, the Cardiology team at the Hamilton General Hospital, for their valiant efforts and their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL on Thursday November 3, 2022, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Church on Friday November 4, 2022, at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association and Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Forever in our hearts and always in our prayers.

Dear Renzo and the Conz family, it was with sadness that I heard of Daniela's death. As someone who is facing the same kidney and heart issues that she wrestled with, I often sent a prayer in her direction and asked God to watch over her. With all my heart and soul I believe that God does take care of us in life and in death. And because of Jesus' resurrection, death will never have the final say. My thoughts and prayers go with you as you send Daniela home to God. All the good deeds she shared with us in this life will truly follow her. In Christ, Risen from the dead, Fr. Jim Link CR

I really got to know Daniela when we were working on the St. Joe's Christmas Bazaar. She ran that kitchen like a champ! So many laughs and great memories from those times. I'm so sorry she is gone, but can say that from our many conversations, she loved her family, was so proud of her kids, and loved her life.
She will be missed.
