Darcy McCarthy Obituary
Darcy passed away peacefully at the young age of 53 after a long and courageous battle, in his hometown of Hamilton.
He is survived by his parents Gary and Judy McCarthy, his two beloved daughters Caitlyn and Maeve, his sister Tracy (Dan Trevisani), nephews and nieces Carson, Carissa and Kyle.
Darcy was a dedicated PSW at St. Joseph's Villa. He had a strong devotion to the Hamilton Argyles. He was an avid sports enthusiast and proudly cheered on his hometown Hamilton Tiger Cats, Dallas Cowboys and Toronto Maple Leafs. As Per Darcy's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I'm so sad to hear that Darcy has passed. He and I shared several years together in Air Cadets when we were teenagers and resumed our friendship later through Facebook. The teenage Darcy had a tougher exterior, but so good hearted once you got to know him. The adult Darcy was a kind man I always enjoyed connecting with whenever I saw him in person. Rest peacefully my friend.

Darcy was our neighbor for many years. He was a good guy. Sad to see him leave this earth from a health battle and at a young age. My heart goes out to his girls and his family.

With a heavy heart, I remember working closely with Darcy at St Joseph´s Villa for many years. Darcy spoke of his daughters with such love ....he was a proud father!
I remember Darcy as being kind to the residents and he was a real team player. My condolences to the family. How tragic to lose someone so young.
