David Logie Obituary

With broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of David Logie at his home on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the age of 46, loving husband of Steven(Duncan). Beloved son of Jackie Logie of Owen Sound and father Doug Logie of Hanover. Brother of Shannon, Beth(Terry Ferrier) and Doug Jr. David will be remembered by his Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and his 2 Nieces Samantha and Aleesha. David had a passion for many things including cooking, spending time with friends and family and just living in the moment. There will be a private memorial held for family for David at one of his favourite places in Sauble Beach, there will also be a memorial held in Hamilton at later date. The family is asking if you wish to do something in David's name to honour, they ask that you do 3 Random Acts of Kindness to complete strangers. David lived a life as a free spirit and cared about everyone he met or knew. Condolences to the family can be made to [email protected] and from there, they will be added to the tribute video that is being made for the family.

I met David nearly 30 years ago, at a group called LGBYT at the 519 Community Centre. It is a sad day to find out about David's passing, and will most remember his dry and acerbic humour. Rest in peace, David. I will miss you.

Super sad to see this notice during a search for my old friend. David and I attended the CIA together, he would become my first older brother. I hope his husband and family remain close and know there's other whom keep Dave's memory alive. RIP my friend

Dear Jackie, Doug and family. I was praying this morning and you came to mind so I googled your names. I was shocked to see the obituary of David....I am so sorry and can't imagine how you are feeling. I know from experience that time doesn't change the grief....the only consolation I know is that one day we will see our loved ones again....my deepest sympathy....

I was very sorry to see that David had passed. I have not seen him for several years but knew him to be a kind, gentle soul. I truly believe that he and others like him make the world a better place. My condolences to his partner, family and friends. I will be happy to to 3 acts of random kindness in his honour.
