David TAYLOR Obituary
TAYLOR, David (Dave) George July 1, 1932-June 15, 2018 Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the age of 85. Proceeded by his parents Dave and Gladys Taylor and brothers Lloyd and Dennis. Dave is the beloved husband and best friend of Lorraine of 66 years. Loving father of Cindy. Proud and loving Poppa of Meghann (Jay) and Emily (Salauddin). Devoted and cherished Great-poppa of Layla, Keenan, Jocelyn, Ibrahim and Isaiah. Ever a genuine and sincere Man's man, Dave believed in responsibilities and accountability. A true provider for his family, or anyone in need. Dad cherished the love of family and friends and would share many memories and live experiences through his infamous story telling. Dad had a true appreciation of music particularly brass bands which was life long, starting in The Salvation Army Band as a young lad and retiring from The Hamilton Fire Fighters Drum Corp in the late Eighties. Dave passed peacefully listening to a Salvation Army Band CD, which was so fitting, he was marching to the end. We can't thank the remarkable 7th Floor Staff of the Mary Grace Wing of St. Joseph's Hospital enough for the kind and compassionate care they gave Dave, and to Dr. Anne Woods for keeping him pain free and always brightening his day. Please join us in a Celebration of Dave's Life at The Salvation Army Meadowland 187 Stonechurch Rd., Ancaster on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions to The Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
